Magnitude 3.5 earthquake hits Delhi, NCR


A medium intensity earthquake measuring 3.5 on Richter scale hit Haryana on Monday, with tremors felt across Delhi, NCR and neighbouring areas too. According to the National Centre for Seismology, a unit of Ministry of Earth Science, the epicenter of the quake was in Mahendragarh. The quake occurred at 2:50 PM at a depth of 10 km. Mahendragarh is nearly 120 km from the national capital. Earlier in the day, a medium intensity earthquakemeasuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale hit Kohima, the capital of Nagaland at 10:58 am.
