Former Minister and Congress MLA from Yamkanmardi in Belagavi district, Satish L. Jarkiholi, has criticised the RSS and ABVP for “creating trouble on emotional issues” in different parts of the country. Playing with emotional issues was not good for peace and harmony. But, the RSS and ABVP have been creating trouble for the government only to serve their own agenda under the pretext of patriotism, he alleged. Mr.Jarkiholi, who heads a state-wide campaign for socio-economic uplift of dalits and economically weaker sections through his ‘stay at graveyard’ programmes, drew attention towards growing attacks on dalits in different parts of the country. Their work should be seen as a profession, like any other profession, without create emotional divide and communal disharmony in society.
