In order to lure young corporate executives with big spending power, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has set up a tourism pavilion in Infosys campus, Hingewadi in Pune, which has over 40,000 IT employees. MTDC has already invested around Rs25 lakh to set up the infrastructure for tourism pavilion." According to MTDC officials, the state tourism department wants to target the young professionals who are more likely to travel and also have the spending capacity. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday inaugurated the pavilion in Pune in presence of other state leaders and bureaucrats. The pavilion will organise one-to-two-day short trips during the weekends and long vacations, apart from other services offered by the MTDC, on a concessional basis.
