Luxury cars close street in Auckland CBD for charity rally

Around 40 luxury cars hit Auckland's main street on Saturday morning. The procession of Ferraris and Lamborghinis on Queen St is part of an annual charity supercar rally organised by The Bread Foundation. The event was created as a way to fund charitable activities for the foundation and is the main source of its funding, Bread Foundation founder, Mustafa "Mussie" Sheikh said. "After creating the foundation I realised how hard it was to fundraise - I thought having a rally with luxury cars could create passive marketing by having stickers for the Bread Foundation on each car. In the beginning, Sheikh would approach people on the street with "really cool cars" and ask them to take part in the rally.
