BSP chief Mayawati on Tuesday sniped at the Congress threatening to rethink her support to the Madhya Pradesh government, a day after her party’s candidate withdrew from the race and joined the Congress. The BSP leader said the Congress was no better than the BJP in misusing official machinery. Lokendra Singh Rajput, the Samajwadi Party-BSP alliance candidate from Guna in Madhya Pradesh, quit on Monday and came out in support of Congress candidate Jyotiraditya Scindia. Mayawati had supported the Congress in Madhya Pradesh after the party fell two short of majority in the Assembly elections. In the 230-member House, the Congress has 114 MLAs, the BJP 109, BSP 2, SP 1 and Independents 4.
