The provincial government is cutting New Brunswick’s veterinary field service, which many farmers and animal owners consider vital, and moving it to the private sector. Clancy has gotten care for his animals in Ontario, which doesn’t provide veterinary services, and now in New Brunswick. In a news release, the province said they understand the decision eliminate provincial services is "upsetting for employees and current clients." Dr. Sara Pridham, a veterinarian at Stoneybrook Veterinary Services in St. Martins, said she doesn’t see private service working, either. She said provincial veterinarians will likely just leave.
