A community trails group on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore is grappling with the aftermath of an act of antisemitic vandalism. It is operated by volunteers and receives financial support from the Halifax Regional Municipality, Trans Canada Trail and the provincial government. The washroom was also damaged in October 2025, when vandals started a fire inside. The washroom will likely remain closed until spring, when the inside can be painted to cover the graffiti. In the meantime, the SATA Trails Society is discussing what to do to try to deter vandals.
