People across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire have been warned to expect more high winds and flooding as a new storm hits in the aftermath of Storm Eunice. The Met Office announced yesterday morning that the high winds and rain seen on Sunday and into Monday have been named Storm Franklin. It means there will be three storms in five days to contend with following Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice earlier this week. More news hereFlood alerts are in place across the county alongside yellow weather warnings for wind and rain, with wind speeds forecast to exceed 50mph in some places today. It follows 70mph gusts being recorded on Friday and ice and snow on Saturday as the effects of Storm Eunice continue to lash the county and the rest of the UK, and Storm Franklin now taking its place.
