Little Cab becomes the first taxi hailing service to be launched in Kisumu county. The service, created by Craft Silicon in partnership with Safaricom, was launched in 2016 to rival Uber. Craft Silicon CEO Kamal Budhabhatti said Kisumu customers will enjoy discounted rates of Sh25 per kilometre for three months. “Despite operating in a highly competitive environment, we have had a steady growth of the service. Our expansion plans have been driven by demand,” Budhabhatti said.
