The Tigers were already in trouble and facing the threat of an innings defeat when Liton came out to bat after the lunch session on day three. Mahmudullah got out scoring 15 and Bangladesh’s total was 72 when Liton arrived to the middle to join Mushfiqur Rahim at the other end. Even in the first innings, Liton looked at ease during his short stay when he scored 21 from 31 deliveries. A big innings from Liton was required as he formed a 63-run partnership with Mushfiq. But yet again, Liton got out when he looked in good touch and one more short yet impressive innings came to an end.
