WATER trickling along the street, gushing out of a burst pipe. A Syabas (Syarikat Beka-lan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd) team arrived and began work in the early afternoon. They continued to work, soaked by the downpour, trying to solve the problem of water gushing out of the burst 200mm pipe 1.5m below. They initially poured out buckets of water from the deep trench that had to be dug out by a backhoe to get to the burst pipe. The burst pipe was then sawed – it was real hard work!
