The Akufo-Addo led administration as part of their 2016 manifesto promised to acquire an ambulance each for constituencies in all regions in the country. The promise was stemmed from the numerous deaths recorded from the various regions due to the lack of ambulances. In response, however, President Akufo-Addo explained that he did not want to be accused of being bias and thus was going to wait for all the buses to arrive. The ambulances, numbering 307 have all been parked at the Black Star Square in Accra awaiting to be finally distributed to the various constituencies.
