Ogada, a renowned human rights defender in Kisumu, has reported threats on his life at the Kisumu Central police station. Lawyers have said they will boycott work following the abduction and killing of human rights lawyer Willie Kimani. Human rights defenders and the public will demonstrate in Kisumu today following claims a police officer issued death threats to activist Audi Ogada. Ogada said he suspects a chief inspector who has been transferred from Kisumu is behind the plot to eliminate him. Raila urged police not to be misused by the state to oppress Kenyans agitating for their rights.
