Muhammed Fawaz, and Jaseela Siyad, wife of real-estate broker T.A. Siyad, on Monday alleged conspiracy behind the arrest under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) of Fawaz and Siyad. They were held in connection with the alleged forcible conversion of a 25-year-old Malayali woman from Gujarat. Ms. Sabira and Ms. Jaseela accused the police of attempting to frame the duo, both from North Paravur. Abdu, Fawaz’s paternal unclecriticised the Ernakulam Rural Police for charging ‘innocent’ people with sections under draconian acts.
