Former President Kibaki has had a successful surgery on the carotid artery on his neck. The former Head of State had been admitted to the Netcare Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa on Wednesday. They said the ex-President had been taken to South Africa because his doctors did not want to take chance. A visitor accompanying the family said Kibaki is recovering well at Johannesburg's Netcare Sunninghill Hospital.
