The Kharghar police had arrested the owner of Purva Playschool, Priyanka Nikam and Shaikh after it came to light that the latter had assaulted the 10-month old girl. Shaikh's actions were caught on a CCTV camera installed at the creche. They used to treat kids in a very bad manner and used to beat the kids with a thin stick. After being released on bail, Nikam has been untraceable. According to the police, Nikam has now applied for anticipatory bail, and the matter will be heard on December 7.
