Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina can consider herself fortunate because she never had to appear before a court in any case, says BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. She said on Thursday:“Awami League President Sheikh Hasina was also indicted in cases over corruption, misuse of power, irregularity and extortion charges. She is very lucky as she was never required to appear in court like me.”“I’m a citizen who shows respect to law, court and the judiciary. She also reminded the court that she served the country as the prime minister thrice. The Anti-Corruption Commission, which lodged the two cases against Khaleda and eight others on graft charges, said her statement was politically motivated.
