A 15-year-old girl has been charged with robbery and assault after opera singer Katherine Jenkins was mugged in the street and left in tears. The 39-year-old soprano had intervened to help an elderly woman on Kings Road in Chelsea, West London, who was been attacked by two girls. The singer had been on her way to St Luke's church to perform in a concert when the attack happened. She waved down a police van and was later able to help officers arrest the fleeing suspects. A second girl wearing glasses was also seen in handcuffs near the scene as police spoke to her by the entrance to a building.
