As a gift to the second largest community of Karnataka - the Vokkaligas - on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will induct real estate tycoon and Congress legislator M Krishnappa into the Cabinet today. Popularly known as "Layout" Krishnappa, who is a Vokkaliga, the third time legislator was denied a Cabinet berth earlier this year during the Cabinet reshuffle. He will replace MB Ambarish and Kimmane Ratnakara, both Vokkaligas, who were dropped from the Cabinet owing to poor performace. Krishnappa's son Priya Krishna is also a Congress legislator.
