Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has threatened to take the political battle to Uhuru Kenyatta’s doorstep immediately after the President tours Ukambani next week. Speaking during a tour of Makueni county on Saturday, Kalonzo said Uhuru’s tour is a vote-hunting mission disguised as a visit to commission development projects. Kalonzo said Uhuru is welcome to the region because Kenya has matured democratically, “but I will make similar tours to his support base”. Uhuru is expected to spend three days in Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties, Kalonzo’s political home turf. “We welcome the President to Ukambani and we are aware his main agenda in the visit is to hunt for votes.
