KTMB appoints Kamarulzaman as new CEO


PETALING JAYA: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) has appointed Datuk Kamarulzaman Zainal as its new chief executive officer, starting on Monday (Oct 21). In a statement, the rail service company said Kamarulzaman will be replacing Mohd Rani Hisham, whose contract ended on Sept 15 after two years of service. Kamarulzaman, 56, was appointed to the KTMB board in August 2016. Prior to that, he held various positions during his 21-year career with the Royal Malaysia Air Force, and was involved in an exchange programme with the Royal Australian Air Force. Kamarulzaman has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas in the United States, before he joined the air force as an engineer in 1985.
