KLCI dips as regional markets stumble

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 2): The FBM KLCI opened lower this morning in tandem with the stumble at most regional markets, as investor sentiment remained jittery ahead of the U.S. presidential election next week as well on falling crude oil prices. At 9.01am, the FBM KLCI dipped 1.12 points to 1,669.81. The early losers included Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd, KLCC Property Holdings Bhd, Public Bank Bhd, British American Tobacco (M) Bhd, SP Setia Bhd, Inari Amertron Bhd, Ta Ann Holdings Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Top Glove Corp Bhd and CIMB Group Holdings Bhd. “On the local market, the FBM KLCI shed 1.53 points to 1670.93 points. “Following the bearish performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI is expected to remain lacklustre below the resistance of 1678 points,” it said.
