KHU halt leagues to help Kenya teams

The Kenya men’s team finished fourth as Egypt booked the sole ticket to the second round. KHU vice chairperson Elina Shiveka said the move to shelve league matches was to accord the national teams ample time to prepare ahead of Ghana dates involving Namibia, Nigeria and Kenya. “The national teams have been training two days a week and we believe that is not enough. That’s why we have set aside the City Park Stadium solely for the national team’s training sessions,”She added, “In the last edition our girls put up a good performance.
