The Black Stars endured group stage exits at the 2014 tournament in Brazil and the 2022 edition in Qatar, but Paintsil believes the current squad has grown in experience and character to challenge the world’s elite. “We have enough experience to be in the semi-finals or final of the 2026 World Cup." The Black Stars will kick off their campaign against Panama on June 17 before taking on England on June 23. They will wrap up their group stage fixtures with a clash against Croatia on June 27.
