Crime & Punishment of Wednesday, 25 February 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThree young men are in the custody of the Ahafo Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service for unlawful possession of firearms and an alleged plot to carry out a robbery. The suspects, arrested in separate but related operations on Saturday, February 22, 2026, are Johnson Mawutor, 26; Kelvin Ofori, 22; and Mawuli Dogba. He said that upon noticing the police, the suspects allegedly switched off the motorbike’s headlights and attempted to flee. DCOP Annor added that the patrol team gave them a hot chase and succeeded in arresting them. Further investigations led police to Abrodanho, a suburb of Goaso, where a search at Mawutor’s residence resulted in the arrest of a third suspect, Mawuli Dogba.
