In one of the remarkable cases of financial turnaround, Jaipur Discom has been able to cut down its loss by Rs 1,400 crore in the present financial year which is about to end. The officials informed that Jaipur Discom was having loss of Rs 1,800 crore, however it has now been reduced by Rs 1,400 crore and about Rs 400 crore remains which will also be reduced in coming financial year. Due to tariff hike, Jaipur Discom had an extra earning of Rs 700 crore Further, the discom through its various stringent measures, reduced its transmission and distribution loss by Rs 700 crore. The figures were discussed in the board of directors meeting of Jaipur Discom that was conducted on Tuesday. Jaipur Discom managing director R G Gupta, said that in the coming year, it is expected that there will be profit.
