The Gujarat police will restart issuance of e-challan memo against traffic rule violation in different cities from April 15. The government had stopped issuing a memo in January this year after some technical glitches reported in the process. The Congress MLAs trying to tighten the noose around the government over the non-functional CCTV cameras in the police stations across Gujarat. The government installed CCTV cameras at 1,238 public junctions across the state and the government would expand the network for the security of the citizens in the state, added the minister. HISTORYGujarat government had taken the decision to stop issuing the e-challan as the CCTV cameras installed at traffic junctions and on the major roads were reported some technical glitches.
