MANILA, Philippines — An Iranian beauty queen was prevented from entering the country due to an Interpol red notice issued against her, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Sunday. Citing information from the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said beauty queen Bahare Zare Bahari has a pending red notice against her based on a criminal case for assault filed against her in Iran by a fellow Iranian. BI Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina earlier said that the beauty queen arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) from Dubai last October 17.
