The Panchhari upazila unit President Jewel Chakma of Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP) was sent to jail on Monday. Panchhari police station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Jabbar on Sunday confirmed the Dhaka Tribune that some army personnel picked up Jewel the night before and later conducted drives in different areas with him. Romel, an HSC examinee, was also picked up by the army personnel of Naniarchar camp on April 5 reportedly for interrogation in two arson cases on suspicion.
