Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kenya next month, following an invitation from President Uhuru Kenyatta. Indian imports include apparel, household goods and consumer goods, construction materials and machinery. President Uhuru met Modi last October, when he went for the India-Africa Summit. Many Kenyans go to India for cancer treatment and the President has previously urged indian hospitals to set up branches in Kenya. Modi’s visit is expected to enhance trade between the two countries and help reduce the huge trade imbalance.
