Ethiopian PM, trade delegation arrive for three days of talks

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn is expected in Kenya tomorrow for a three-day state visit at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta. The President also made a four-day state visit in March 2014, where he held talks with Desalegn. In 2012, Ethiopia exported $4 million (Sh405 million) worth of goods to Kenya, while Kenya exported $54 million (Sh5.4 billion) to Ethiopia. Ethiopia wants to boost trade with Kenya as currently it is skewed towards Kenya. The two promised the deal would help create jobs, reduce poverty and foster trade in their restive borderlands.
