Indian Nobel Peace laureate child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi has expressed disappointed with Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s stand on the Rohingya issue, calling it among this “era’s biggest humanitarian crises.”“Almost the entire Nobel Peace laureate community is hugely disappointed with our fellow Nobel laureate Suu Kyi. “The politics aside, it is a humanitarian crisis of gigantic proportions and Suu Kyi has to deal with that from that perspective,” said Satyarthi, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, sharing it with Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai. However, India is considering supplying arms to Myanmar’s government in a sign of strong support for a neighbour that faces criticism for its crackdown on Rohingya Muslims. More than 422,000 Rohingya Muslims to flee to Bangladesh to escape fresh spell of violence which was triggered by attacks of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army. After that Myanmar security forces started a violent campaign on Rohingya Muslims in the name of counter-insurgency drive.
