In response to the evolving security situation, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India issued a fresh advisory for Indian nationals regarding travel to Libya. The new advisory strongly advises Indian citizens to avoid non-essential travel to Libya. Indian nationals are encouraged to remain in close contact with the Indian Embassy in Tripoli, using the emergency phone number: +218943992046, for any assistance or updates on the situation. Earlier in the day, the India High Commission in the UK also issued an advisory concerning travel to the United Kingdom. Indian travellers are reminded to register themselves with the nearest Indian embassy or consulate and keep updated with the latest advisories from the MEA.
