ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court will announce its decision on a peition seeking the bail of incarcerated former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds on Monday. A two-member bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar will announce the decision. On February 20, IHC had reserved its decision on a petition seeking the suspension of the seven-year sentence awarded to Nawaz in the Al-Azizia reference. Accountability Judge Arshad Malik had on Dec 24, 2018, convicted Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia reference and awarded him seven years imprisonment, besides imposing fines of Rs1.5 billion and $25 million on the PML-N supremo.
