JOHOR BARU: A housewife's dream of owning a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) came to naught when she had to surrender the seven-seater MPV to repossessers. Af In, 44, from Jalan Kuala Linggi, Kuala Sungai Baru, Malacca, paid RM48,000 in September last year to a man to buy the 12-year-old Honda Stream 1.7. The man handed her the MPV in September and promised her that he would settle the change of ownership by December. "But the MPV was repossessed by two men and a woman when I was in Taman Cheng at around 3pm on March 31," said Af In. She said the three repossessers told her that she had bought the MPV from a second-hand dealer in Johor Baru without the consent of the original owner.
