MIRI: A DJ of Bugis descent working in a nightclub in the city centre here was found dead in his rented room following a tiff with a woman friend, in what police suspect is a suicide. Miri Police chief Asst Comm Khoo Leng Huat confirmed that the 37-year-old man was found dead at about 8pm on Monday at a shoplot room near the nightclub. “She said the DJ told her he would kill himself if she refused to go see him,” ACP Khoo said. After receiving a 999 call, police who arrived at the scene called the Miri Hospital, whose medics confirmed that the man was already dead. The body was sent to the Miri Hospital mortuary and the police are investigating the case, he added.
