A 14-hectare park on the side of the Saigon River has been opened in Ho Chi Minh City with a design inspired by the US's iconic Central Park, local media reported on Sunday. Also named Central Park, the Binh Thanh District-based park houses 40 sections such as a Japanese-styled garden, a fountain, children's playground and a picnic area, according to the reports. Real estate conglomerate Vingroup developed the park at more than VND500 billion (US$22.13 million) as part of its apartment complex.
