He shall inform this court regarding such possibility on the next date of hearing,” the Bench said in its order. The court was hearing a petition by social activist Pawan Kumar, who highlighted “how corrupt officials in the Transport Department have been issuing licences without proper test, therefore endangering the lives of the general public”. Fake documentsThe Delhi government informed the court that it had revoked some licences which were granted without proper test and the list of such licences was displayed on its website. He also claimed that many DTC drivers were from outside Delhi and their fake licences were endorsed in Delhi without any inquiry.
