In the letter to the Gurugram Police Commissioner, Sandeep Khirwar, Mr. Sidhu has said that some unscrupulous persons have constructed a nearly 3-ft-high wall, completely blocking the three-lane road connecting NH-8 to Sector 29. “The wall, an illegal structure, rendered the road impassable, adversely affecting the flow of traffic and severely compromising the safety of the road users. Mr. Sidhu has written similar letters to the Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram and the Haryana Urban Development Authority Administrator. The construction of the wall assumes significance as it has closed the right-turn to Sector 29 market, making the motorable distance from the edge of the service road along NH-8 to the bars more than 500m. But the measurement done by the monitoring committee on April 13 following the erection of the wall found that the Sector 29 market was beyond 500m.
