On Thursday, it was reported that 40 people were quarantined at the Tanah Merah Hospital after a man died of a suspected viral infection after a family gathering in Kajang. One man died of severe pneumonia from a possible bacterial infection while another one is in critical condition and needs respiratory aid at the Tanah Merah Hospital, he said. “The hospital is still waiting for other test results from samples and this does not mean that the respiratory infection is a mysterious disease,” he said.
