The Atlantic Schooners’ detailed vision for a phased-in, 24,159-seat community football stadium has finally been made public. Halifax Regional Municipality released details of the project on its website on Thursday morning. The building, which incorporates permanent, semi-permanent and temporary seating, is the cornerstone of the Schooners’ potential bid for a Canadian Football League expansion franchise. None of the options include any operational funding, which SSE said it will undertake as owners of the facility. The bulk of seating will be in the permanent upper west (7,900) and lower west (4,516) sections.
