Haiti Prime Minister Garry Conille has arrived in Kenya for a four-day official visit. The discussions will focus on fast tracking the deployment of 600 more police officers to Haiti to help restore peace in the region. Kenya pledged to send 600 more police officers to Haiti to help fight gangs controlling capital, Port-au-Prince, and nearby areas. During a visit to Haiti, President Ruto said he supports the turning of the current Kenya-led security mission into a full United Nations peacekeeping operation. While addressing Kenyan police officers at their base in Port-au-Prince, Ruto commended the force for their successes over the last few months.
