Hong Kong International Airport handled 79,000 passengers, down 98.5 percent year-on-year and 10,880 flight movements, down 68.3 percent from a year ago, Airport Authority Hong Kong said. Cargo throughput declined 5.7 percent to 404,000 tonnes compared to the same month last year. Cargo throughput to and from Mainland China and Southeast Asia saw the most significant decreases during the month. Over the first ten months of the year, HKIA handled 8.7 million passengers, equalling a year-on-year decrease of 85.8 percent and 135,440 flight movements, representing a year-on-year drop of 61.7 percent. Cargo throughput was down 8.2 percent to 3.6 million tonnes.
