Previous NextHong Kong's popular sporting carnival, the Rugby Sevens – a drawcard for overseas fans and locals – is being postponed, again, due to the resurgence of coronavirus infections. The Hong Kong Rugby Union and World Rugby said the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens has been put off to November 5-7, next year. The crowd-favorite Fijians who entertain the crowds with their powerful brand of sevens rugby, are the defending champions. The tournament will be the final round of the 2020/21 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. Hong Kong will host the 2021/22 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournament as usual in April 2022.
