Chief Secretary for Administration Matthew Cheung Kin-chung has announced today that the government will inject a total of HK$6.4 billion into the Anti-epidemic Fund supporting industries hit hard by the Covid epidemic, pending approval from the LegCo. Among the HK$6.4 billion, HK$5.5 billion will be used to roll out 19 different subsidy schemes. Cheung said this round of subsidies will precisely target those industries being put on halt due to the recent epidemic, the money involved in the subsidies will also be a double from what was previously offered.
