Chances for compromise between ruling BJP and opposition Congress in Gujarat assembly have slimmed after the opposition decided on Friday that it would approach the governor on the issue of suspension of three of its members. The business advisory committee will meet on Monday and decide a date for voting on the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition against Speaker Rajendra Trivedi. The motion is likely to be put up for voting on March 28, the last day of the budget session. I have studied the Constitution deeply during these days as well as court orders in different cases of suspension of members of the house. All of them indicate that Speaker Trivedi has gone beyond the rule,” Dhanani said.
