Grey Lynn community meeting held to address growing concerns of safety

The meeting, sparked by the stabbing earlier this month, was called by Business Grey Lynn to address growing safety concerns in the Auckland shopping centre. Grey Lynn vicar Reverend Brent Swann urged retailers to respond to the anti-social behaviour with kindness, explaining that many of those begging in Grey Lynn had addiction problems. JASON DORDAY/STUFF Business Grey Lynn formed after the Hylite Dairy stabbing of June 2018. Business Grey Lynn chairwoman and meeting organiser Soala Wilson said she found the meeting to be extremely positive. "We don't want the Grey Lynn shops being in the media like that."
