CAIRO – 8 March 2021: Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias arrived in Egypt, Monday for talks with top officials on bilateral cooperation and regional developments. During the visit, that reflects the exceptional Greek-Egyptian relationship, the two sides will probe bilateral ties, economic cooperation, collaboration in the energy sector as well as Middle East developments and regional issues of mutual interest, such as Libya, Greek Foreign Ministry Spokesman Alexandros Papaioannou had said. They also addressed ways to support the flow of mutual investments between their two countries and to overcome any obstacles that Egyptian and Greek companies may encounter. Hafez added that the meeting tackled promoting cooperation between Egypt and Greece in the field of energy. On his part, Minister Shoukry expressed Egypt's appreciation for Greece's ratification of the founding charter of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum, which will enter into force starting March 2021.
