‎ALOR STAR: A security guard was not only beaten up by two armed robbers, they also stole RM50 from the hapless guard when they broke into a petrol station in Lebuhraya Darul Aman here early Thursday morning. Kota Setar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rozi Jidin said two men broke into the station by forcing open the front door using a sharp object. Mohd Rozi said the two men were wearing crash helmets when they broke into the station. "The robbers made off with RM3,500 in cash and 30 cartons of cigarettes in various brands from the station. Before fleeing, they also stole RM50 from the guard," he said.
