Days after former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga complained that the bipartisan talks should not be limited to parliament, the bipartisan team that represents him and His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto has made a new agreement. According to sources, the team has settled down on a hybrid system that will see Raila Odinga's proposal of an outside parliament process to happen. https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2023-05-17-ruto-raila-bipartisan-team-settles-on-hybrid-route/“We settled on a hybrid process, where we recognised that Parliament may have a role. We agreed that we will engage Parliament where necessary but otherwise the process essentially is outside of Parliament,” Rarienda Constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Otiende Amollo, one of the co-chairs representing Raila Odinga told the Star on Wednesday. He also said that they blocked the William Ruto administration against any kind of official engagement that would result in a legal battle that would end up questioning the mandate of the bipartisan committee.
